Stuffy Sleepover

The Walkerton-Lincoln Township Public Library will be hosting a Stuffy Sleepover on September 12th. Do you have a favorite stuffed animal that would like to visit the library and have a sleepover? Bring you stuffy in on Thursday, September 12th for an overnight event. All animals must be checked in at the front desk and a picture of the child and their stuffy will be taken and a registration form filled out before they can leave. This will ensure that the stuffy and child are appropriately reunited on Friday afternoon or Saturday morning.

Thinking Money for Kids

  • We’re thrilled to announce that Walkerton Lincoln Township Public Library will be receiving a Thinking Money for Kids Program Kit from the American Library Association and the FINRA Investor Education Foundation. If you’ve been looking for ways to teach your kids that money doesn’t grow on trees, get ready! These kid-friendly devices come pre-loaded with great financial education games like Making Moooolah, Pet Cents, and Piggy Bank Theater. No internet connection required. Come to Walkerton Lincoln Township Public Library to take one home.
  • Our new Launchpad tablets come pre-loaded with games to teach kids about money — including concepts like earning, spending, sharing and budgeting. You can run a party-planning business in Penny Pinchers’ Party, budget for a furry friend in Pet Cents, snatch up coins in Currency Catchers, and much more! Take home a Launchpad tablet soon. Available at the circulation desk starting in October.

Meet the candidates

It is time for our Second Annual Meet the Candidates Night! This year we have two candidates for one seat on the Walkerton Town Council, Kyle Norris and Karol Jackson. Please join us on November 1, 2023 at 6:00 pm at the Walkerton Lincoln Township Public Library! Hope to see many friendly faces. The format will be different from last year. The candidates will give a summary on themselves and then we will open the floor for questions from the audience.

OUTDOOR movie night

Join us Friday, May 20 @9:00 pm at the Walkerton Parks Department Soccer Plex, behind Walkerton Elementary School located at 159 Emerald Street, Walkerton for a showing of A Dog’s Way Home. Bring blankets and chairs and enjoy the fresh air.

Also present with be the Hacienda Tattoo Taco Truck from 8:30 pm through 10:00 pm!! Come eat chips with salsa and ranch and enjoy the movie!!!

SCOOB! IN THE PARK

Come see the new Scoob! movie in the park Friday, July 16th! We will be at the Soccer Plex from 8:30 pm until movie start which will be around 9:30 pm. The John Glenn Band Booster will provide refreshments in leu of the concession stand. They will have hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, and drinks! Feel free to come and eat even if you don’t stay for the movie!

SCOOB! in the park

Come see Scoob at the Soccer Plex on Friday, July 16th. Arrival time is 8:30 with movie starting around 9:30 pm. The John Glenn Band Boosters will be grilling out instead of open concession stand. Bring money for burgers, hot dogs, chips, and drinks!!!

COVID 19 VACCINEs HERE

Appointments are not required. Walk ins will are welcomed! Join us on Friday, May 21 from 8:30 – 12:30 for free Pfizer COVID 19 vaccines offered by the St. Joseph County Health Department. Anyone over the age of 12 wishing to be vaccinated can make an appointment on www.ourshot.in.gov or by calling the library and asking for Jennifer. Want a paper registration form? Pick one up at the Town Clerk’s Office or at the Walkerton-Lincoln Township Public Library.
